Care Guide: Preserve the radiance of your jewelry

To preserve the shine and color of your gold-plated or silver-plated jewelry for as long as possible, a few simple daily actions are essential.

1. Avoid contact with water

Classic metal tolerates humidity very poorly.

Remove your jewelry before showering, washing your hands, swimming (sea or pool), or going to the sauna.

In case of accidental exposure to water, immediately dry your jewelry with a soft cloth.

2. Apply your cosmetics first

Chemicals and alcohol contained in daily beauty products alter the plating of jewelry.

Apply your perfumes, creams, hairsprays, and makeup before putting on your jewelry.

Wait a few minutes for the products to dry on your skin before putting on your pieces.

3. Remove your jewelry during physical exertion

Sweat is acidic and can accelerate metal oxidation.

Remove your jewelry before any sports session or intense physical activity.

Also avoid wearing them to sleep to prevent rubbing and breakage.

4. Store them away from light and air

Prolonged contact with air and ambient humidity promotes tarnishing.

Store your jewelry individually in a fabric pouch, a bag, or a closed jewelry box.

Avoid leaving them in a humid room like the bathroom.

5. Clean them gently

Gently wipe your jewelry after each wear with a soft, dry cloth (such as a chamois cloth or eyeglass cloth).

Never use abrasive cleaning products, solvents, or hard brushes.
